Do you know a VST compressor which will match very well? Is the Renoise compressor actually using such a linear knee phase? What about the detection/internal sidechain, does it react on l/R separately or on the sum? Do you thick that the attack and release values are accurate and match usual compressor timing “standards”? Also it seems that the threshold value is not very precise…? For example, if I setup MCompressor, Bitwig Compressor or Bitwig Dynamics, using almost same values (and threshold by ear, targeting the same output volume), the sound still won’t be as stable as in Renoise on my synthbass sound. Now it turns out that the Renoise compressor produces really stable results.
